Qualivian Investment Partners (QIP) is a private limited partnership founded in 2017 to provide long-term equity investors a focused alternative to the traditional asset management model. Based in Boston and co-founded by Aamer Khan, CFA, and Cyril Malak, QIP takes a “private equity approach to public markets” by owning primarily US-based companies in concentration for the long term. QIP seeks to invest in stocks that are “Quality Compounders” with wide moats, sustainable competitive advantages, free cash flow generation, and shareholder-friendly management teams that rationally reinvest back in the business at rates of return well in excess of their cost of capital. Companies that possess all these qualities are rare so QIP buys them in concentration and holds them for years, allowing their intrinsic value to compound over time.
